Do I have to pay for digital art apps?

No, IbisPaintX is free to download and use on both Apple and Android devices and is a great beginner digital art program.

Procreate, however, is $9.99 on the iPad and $4.99 for Procreate Pocket on iPhones. Sadly, it's only available on apple. That app is entirely optional and not required.
